Weekend rundown!

Oh. My. Goodness, Reader-land, this will be a crazy weekend!  Why?  Well I will tell you why!

First off, I am not REALLY a shut in, I promise!  It’s just raining, and well there are so many interesting things going on.

Yes, this is how it really is!

Exhibit A, the confirmation of Emma!  A HUGE event in the life of a Catholic.  This is more than just checking the last thing off the list, then forgetting everything about your faith, which is commonplace now.  No, this is Auntie Maime saying, “Oh, Emma, I’m going to open doors for you.  Doors you never DREAMED existed!”  Except it’s not Auntie Maime, it’s the Holy Spirit!  This is why it is important to stay close to the Sacraments, because now that first level understanding has completed, you have now leveled up, and there is no cap on your learning!  You could remain on the ground, like me, or soar into the heights of the Mysteries like St John, or St Theresa, etc.  Every thing is new, even the regular stuff you hear or say everyday, it’s going to have new meaning.  A door.  Confirmation is the opening of an infinite number of doors for things you knew or not, and if you stay close to the Sacraments, the Holy Spirit will be the one guiding your understanding !  It’s just awesome! I’m sorry I can’t be there! download (5)

That is the most exciting and important thing this weekend.

In less serious news, there are FIVE races this weekend!  F3, F2, F1, Formula E, and the W series.  All single seaters, different capabilities, but fun to watch!  Mick Schumacher in Formula 2, will have two races, as he gets used to the new car, is eighth in the standings right now but is a calm driver who will get his head down.  Mercedes is in the lead in Formula 1, but everyone is bringing upgrades, and maybe, just maybe, Williams can finish higher than last place.  All weekend long!

Then it’s the end of soccer season, and big games all weekend!  If Man City loses or ties, and Liverpool wins, Liverpool wins the English league!  First time in thirty years!  And I am… Sad. I don’t think Dortmund can win the league.

THEN, as if that wasn’t enough, SUMO starts this Sunday!  Oh man!  My favorite is a big Georgian named Tochinoshin, and he has brute Power!  The big talk will be about the highest ranking guy, Hakuho, who is injured.  Then I cheer for others, I will just name them…  Ichinojo, Enho, Ishiura, Nishikigi, Tomokaze, shohozan, Ryuuden.  Oh man I love it, it is the easiest to get into.  Each fight can last a few seconds or maybe up to a minute.  There’s no equipment, just the mawashi, and it is just skill on skill alone.  Highly entertaining!

Hakuho will miss the tournament due to a terrible biceps injury.  The Boss, as he is known, is the most dominant sumo wrestler ever

So I will be enjoying that.  Way better than football!
